Zach Brown: Lando needs to stop striving for the ideal

Lando Norris won the first race of the season, but then he started getting nervous, making mistakes, and hasn't won since. McLaren Racing CEO Zach Brown advises his driver to stop striving for perfection and relax if he wants to win the title.

Zach Brown: "Lando needs to stop striving for perfection, to think about how to achieve the ideal. Ask the drivers, and anyone can tell you that they've never driven a perfect lap in their career. It doesn't happen. Lando just needs to do what he can.

For me, perfection is doing your best, even if you just miss the apex or slow down a meter later. Striving to do your best is the best approach.

We make pit stops in 1.8 seconds. I'm sure we can do it in 1.78, but we don't have to come to every pit stop expecting it to be 1.78. Just go to the pit stop, and the team will do their best. This is the right approach."
