Piastri: I'm going to Imola with optimism and confidence.
After the winning double in Miami, the McLaren team is optimistic about the start of the weekend in Imola…
Andrea Stella, team principal: "After a successful weekend in Miami, we are heading to Imola, where we will start another series of three races in a row.
The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix is always a big event, and the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit is a complex historical track where racing turns out to be interesting. The combination of fast and slow turns makes it challenging for engineers and racers alike.
It's been a busy start to the season, and I want to thank the whole team once again. We are looking forward to the start of the weekend in Imola."
Oscar Piastri: "I'm going to Imola with optimism and confidence. We are waiting for an old-school track with famous Acque Minerali and Piratella turns, it will be interesting to drive along it in a MCL39. I am extremely focused ahead of the first race of the European part of the season and I want to consolidate my success."
Lando Norris: "I am happy to go to Imola for the first European stage. The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix is a bright event that I am looking forward to.
It was great to return to the base between stages, see the team, celebrate our success in Miami, and continue preparing for an intense series of three races in a row. We have a fast car, and I'm ready to continue the season."
