Oliver Berman: I didn't see any red flags

For the Haas drivers, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix qualifying ended in the first session, with Esteban Ocon clocking 18th and Oliver Berman 19th. However, Berman could have gone further, as he showed tenth time on the decisive lap, but his result was annulled due to the fact that the British driver crossed the finish line a few moments after red flags appeared on the track due to the accident of Franco Colapinto.

Esteban Ocon (18th): "Overall, a disappointing weekend. We prepared as well as we could, planned all the scenarios and expected good results this weekend.

We need to try to optimize everything better so that we can spend our weekends better. If we manage to do this, then we will return to the positions we should be in – we will go to the qualifying finals and fight for points."

Oliver Berman (19th): "Qualifying was going well for me, and I have no idea why I didn't qualify for the second part. I didn't see the red flags when I crossed the finish line, and the team didn't see anything either, after watching the replay from all angles. I do not know why my circle was not restored.

It's a pity that this happened, because we brought new items to Imola that we had been planning for several months. I am confident in the car, but right now we are very far from the positions we want to be in. It's difficult to overtake in Imola, so we'll see what tomorrow brings."
