Vasseur: The Monaco Grand Prix is a special stage for Ferrari
Before the start of the Monaco race weekend, Ferrari CEO Frederic Wasser said that the team had spent a lot of time in recent days improving the car's qualifying speed, as the starting position is especially important on the city track.
Frederic Wasser: "The Monaco Grand Prix is a unique race. We know how crucial qualifying is on this track, which is why we have been focusing on fast lap speed for the last few days, as we have not been able to reach the maximum potential of the car on Saturdays in previous stages.
There will be race-related changes to the sporting regulations this weekend, so all teams will face a new challenge – each driver will have to make at least two pit stops. This is done in order to increase the importance of the strategy and make the events on the track more exciting.
In addition, the Monaco Grand Prix is Charles Leclair's home race, which makes the stage special for the whole team. We are determined to make sure that he and Lewis Hamilton have the best chance to maximize the car's capabilities."
