Flavio Briatore on why Duane had to leave

In Monaco, the head of Alpine F1, Flavio Briatore, talked about why Jack Duane had to give up the role of the main driver, and hinted that the driver's career was unlikely to continue in his team.

Flavio Briatore: "We started the season with Jack Duane, he had five races to prove himself. After five races, we looked at the results and I wasn't satisfied with them. You only stay in the company if you work well. If you don't work well, you get fired.

The race in Imola proved the correctness of our choice. On Sunday, Colapinto was driving at about the same pace as Gasly. It was the first time since the start of the season that both our cars were going so fast."
