      George Russell: "We always enjoy coming to Barcelona, because Formula 1 is very much loved here, and there are a lot of Mercedes fans here too, so we are very grateful to the local public.

      Of course, we intend to compete for the podium, and although Red Bull has been showing good speed lately, I remember that in Bahrain they had difficulties with hard tires, whereas it worked very well on our car. Therefore, we hope that today the situation will be more similar to Bahrain than to Imola.

      In general, there is an interesting intrigue, but we will have to quickly determine who exactly we are competing against, because at Imola I tried to fight Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen, but it all ended up with me losing more positions. But the first ten laps will be very interesting.

      Last year I started from the 4th position, but after the 1st turn I took the lead, and it was great. However, I don't think my rivals will give me the same opportunity this year as they did then, but nevertheless I will try to take every chance that comes my way."
