Brad Pitt: It's harder for racers than it is for actors
Having played the role of a racing driver in a Hollywood movie, Brad Pitt was able to look behind the scenes of Formula 1 – and in an interview with GQ he spoke about his impressions.
Brad Pitt: "Actors are often isolated in their lives, living in their own inner world, closed off from everyone. It's a forced loneliness, you shut down when you feel like not everything is going smoothly. And that's a bad thing.
But it's harder for the racers than for the actors. Their sport is incredibly popular, and they are constantly under intense scrutiny. Many of us think that they can do that too, just because they drive fast on the freeway or something like that. Racers get so much criticism. It shocked me. They must have even thicker skin than even ours."
