      The motorsport press writes that Lance Stroll, the Canadian Aston Martin racer, missed the Spanish Grand Prix not only and perhaps not so much because of problems with his right hand, but because of serious disagreements with the team.

      The effects of the injuries sustained in February 2023 are really making themselves felt, and yesterday, on June 2, Lance underwent surgery, but very unusual rumors were discussed in the paddock of the circuit in Barcelona.

      Allegedly, since Saturday after qualifying, Stroll was very angry because he was unhappy with his 14th result in the second session, scolded his teammates and even broke some garage equipment in anger.

      A message about this appeared on BBC Sport, and the Brazilian portal UOL added an interesting detail: the Canadian decided that he would not participate in the race only on Saturday evening and preferred to inform the team about it by email. This surprised everyone, because he didn't seem to complain about the pain in his arm during the day.

      Aston Martin does not deny that the 26-year-old racer was not in the best of spirits. When asked directly about this topic, a team representative responded as follows: "Lance was upset." However, he added that the problems with his arm and the episode that occurred in the garage were in no way related.

      However, other sources in the team cited by BBC Sport, without naming them, deny that Lance insulted colleagues and caused damage to equipment. Although he had reasons for frustration, because not only did he lose to his teammate, Fernando Alonso, by more than half a second in qualifying, but he also did not go through the mandatory weigh-in procedure, and a fine is due for this. As a result, he received an official warning.

      It is not yet known when Stroll will recover from surgery, how long the rehabilitation process will last, but the Canadian Grand Prix, his home stage of the season, will be held on June 13-15. If Lance is out of shape, then the team will have a difficult task to solve, because both Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne are scheduled to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend, so Aston Martin will have to find a replacement for its official reservists.

      If there was a scandal in the boxes of the British team in Barcelona, then this is not the first time that Stroll showed obvious intemperance.
