Christian Albers advises Hajjar to leave Red Bull

Isaac Hajjar is having a great debut season in Formula 1 as a member of Racing Bulls and after nine races takes ninth place in the individual standings. The press and fans are already discussing a scenario in which the Frenchman will replace Yuki Tsunoda at Red Bull Racing before the end of this season.

Former Formula 1 driver Christian Albers advises Hajjar to leave the Red Bull program and not accept the offer to become Max Verstappen's team-mate, as this step could ruin Isaac's career.

Christian Albers: "I think Hajjar is a fantastic racer. This guy is fast as a rocket, but it's going to be hard for him next to Max. In his situation, you need to act very carefully.

If I were Hajjar's managers, I would have rejected the offer to join Red Bull Racing. If I were his managers, I would do everything to prevent him from being there, and then I would do everything possible to get him out of the Red Bull family.

Look at the example of Pierre Gasly, who flourished at Alpine. Or take the example of Carlos Sainz. Outside of Red Bull, drivers have a much better chance of a long career. But the more time a racer spends in Red Bull Racing or Racing Bulls, the more his chances decrease. That's the reality."
