A world-class cartodrome will appear in Silverstone

In addition to the famous circuit that hosts the British Grand Prix, Silverstone will host a new world-class cart track in the fall.

The construction of Kart Silverstone is mainly funded by BRDC, the British Racing Club. Initially, the cart track was designed to meet the most modern requirements, with six different track configurations allowing riders of all ages and degrees of training to train and compete. And the length of its maximum version is 1377 meters.

Famous racers such as David Coulthard (president of the BRDC) and Anthony Davidson participated in the design of the ring, and soon the cart track should receive a full-fledged FIA license allowing it to host international competitions.

George Russell, a Mercedes driver, visited the construction of the new cart track, after which he shared his impressions: "The BRDC played a very important role in my career, supported and guided me on the way to Formula 1.

This latest project highlights the club's ongoing commitment to nurturing and fostering young talent, as well as bringing our wonderful sport to the attention of a wider audience.

When I see what investments BRDC is making together with Silverstone, I feel really proud, because I am also a member of this club and represent it on the world stage. I recently visited Silverstone, and I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the future cartodrome – it makes a great impression.

I am sure that it will become one of the best go–kart tracks in the world - a facility that the whole of British motorsport can be proud of. I will be happy to ride this track when it opens to support the next generation of young riders who are just starting to pursue their dreams, just as the BRDC supported me at the time."
