Aston Martin plans Stroll's participation in the Canadian Grand Prix
Aston Martin racer Lance Stroll did not start the race in Barcelona due to injury. The Canadian rider underwent wrist surgery on Monday, and Lance is now recovering.
Stroll's home Canadian Grand Prix will be held next week, but the team and the driver remain silent about Lance's participation in the race. According to The Race, a final decision is expected a few days before the start of the race weekend, but the initial forecast is promising.
Aston Martin plans that Stroll will launch in Canada if there are no unexpected complications after the operation. However, the final decision remains with the doctors.
If Lance is not given permission to drive, then one of the reserve Aston Martin drivers will take his place in Montreal. Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne share this role, and Drugovich has already confirmed that he is ready to give up participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans marathon, which will be held on the same weekend as the Canadian Grand Prix, in order to compete for Aston Martin.
