Iwasa will make his debut if Verstappen is disqualified.

At the Spanish Grand Prix, Max Verstappen earned three penalty points, bringing their total to eleven. Two of them will burn out on June 29, and if Verstappen gets another penalty point before that, he will be disqualified for one stage.

Red Bull Racing has decided on plans for who will replace Max if events do start to unfold according to a negative scenario.

The team's press service confirmed to Racingnews365 that if Verstappen is disqualified from Red Bull Racing, he will be replaced by one of the Racing Bulls drivers, Isaac Hajjar or Liam Lawson.

In turn, reserve driver Ayumu Iwasa, who has already participated in the first training session in Bahrain this season, will take the vacant place at the wheel of the Faenza team car for one stage, replacing Max Verstappen. For the Japanese driver, this will be a full-fledged debut in Formula 1.

As for Arvid Lindblad, for whom Red Bull has requested a super license, if Verstappen is disqualified, he will become a reserve driver for one stage instead of Iwasa.
