Alex Palow: Now is not the right time to switch to F1

Three-time IndyCar series champion and winner of the 2025 Indianapolis 500 Miles Alex Palow said he has no plans to switch to Formula 1, even if he receives such an offer. The Spanish driver argued his position by saying that he is not ready to give up the fight for IndyCar wins for the opportunity to fight for single points in the middle of the Formula 1 peloton.

Alex Palow: "At IndyCar, I have an outstanding team and a chance to achieve something really meaningful. Besides, the competition level is crazy! The start of the season turned out to be incredible, but you always need to practice to assess the balance of power on a particular track. I like this uncertainty, which was made possible by an extremely tight fight.

Don't get me wrong. I love Formula 1 and it was my dream, but now is not the right time to switch.

Why should I waste three or four years with a team that can't win? That's not how I imagine racing. I want to fight for wins, especially in the Indy 500, and for titles. Only then will I be happy."
