Antonelli completes his final school examinations in Italy.

"It's the subject I excel in"

While numerous F1 drivers were seen walking the red carpet in New York and Max Verstappen was behind the wheel of a GT3 car at Spa, Kimi Antonelli chose to return to school. After celebrating his first podium finish in Montreal, the youthful Italian teenager simply went home. "I’ll make him pasta with ragu – his favorite meal," said Antonelli’s mother Veronica, aged 18, to La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Racing isn't everything, and I've always wanted him to complete his education." Truly, Antonelli went straight from Montreal to Italy so he could attend classes at the public technical and commercial high school Gaetano Salvemini, close to his hometown of Bologna. Upon finishing his first final exam, he disclosed that he would come back the following day for his English test. "It’s the subject I do best in," Kimi remarked with a smile. "The one I find the most challenging has always been mathematics." The last assessment he needs to undertake will be an oral presentation, after which he will head to Austria for his next Formula 1 race with Mercedes. When queried about whether he would prefer to put in 100 percent effort at the Red Bull Ring or in his exams, Antonelli grinned and said: "Why not both?" He acknowledges that a major motivating factor for his continued education, despite his promising future in Formula 1, is his mother. Veronica Antonelli stated, "I don't mind if he becomes a driver – my greatest pride is having raised a good young man."
