Helmut Marko, Red Bull's motorsport consultant, made an unexpected admission about Max Verstappen. The Austrian specialist said that when he first started working with Max, he did not think that he would achieve such great success in Formula 1.
"At the very beginning of our collaboration, I did not think that Max would win four titles," Marco said on The Inside Track podcast. – But when I saw his performances on a wet track, when he was two seconds faster than everyone else, I realized that there was something special about him. But I didn't expect him to dominate and become one of the best drivers of all time.
Max's results show that we are doing everything right. We were lucky to get such a great talent. He's definitely the best racer we've ever had. His overtaking at Imola in the third corner is incredible. His progress doesn't stop."
