      Franco Colapinto spoke about a joint flight with Lewis Hamilton on a private jet from Barcelona to London. On Thursday in Spielberg, the Alpine racer enthusiastically announced the details of a joint flight with the seven-time world champion.

      Franco Colapinto: "Lewis is a great guy, and I had the best flight of my life with him. I got an unforgettable and unique experience. You know that Lewis has been my idol since childhood, along with Ayrton Senna, and now I've been able to fly on the same plane with him and have a little chat.

      He wrote to the general group asking if anyone was flying to London, and I replied that I was flying, but on a regular easyJet flight. Lewis immediately replied that there was plenty of room on his plane and invited me to come with him. I had two unique experiences in one go: I flew on a private jet for the first time in my life and heard a lot of interesting stories from Lewis. It was a special flight.

      Lewis is a great guy, and I was very impressed with what kind of person and professional he is. It was great, my dream of talking to him came true, and I didn't have to return on an easyJet flight."

      When the reporters turned the topic of conversation to racing, Franco praised his performances at the last stage in Canada: "In Canada, I certainly made a good step forward. The team and I have been working hard to figure out which direction I need to work with the car in order to find more suitable settings for me.

      I think everyone did a great job at the base to help me in a situation where I was having trouble getting up to speed. Overall, I feel more comfortable and understand the features of the car better, so we are optimistic about the future.

      In the end, we try to move step by step. I think that in Austria the team has a good chance to get the most out of the car and show the result. Let's see where we stand."
