Isaac Hajjar: We will be faster on European tracks

At the last stage in Canada, Isaac Hajjar was far from fighting for points in the race and finished sixteenth. At the FIA press conference in Spielberg, the Racing Bulls driver expressed the hope that such a result was due to the peculiarities of the track, and in Austria the team would return to the fight for places in the top ten.

Isaac Hajjar: "It was difficult to drive the car on a fast lap at the last stage, but somehow we managed to reach the qualifying final. In a 70-lap race, it turned out to be much more difficult to get the most out of the car.

Compared to the others, we had much more problems related to the degradation of rubber – the Medium composition was especially highly granular. Given that there are minimal gaps in the middle of the peloton, we ended up at the end of the middle group, although it's usually the other way around. We will try to fix the situation this weekend - the upcoming race will provide answers to the questions.

Our car behaves very steadily, and in terms of speed it never presents unpleasant surprises. The problem is that we didn't design the car specifically for the Montreal circuit, which is very specific. I think that with the return to traditional European circuits, we will become much more competitive, as we were in Barcelona.

If I manage to reach the final of the qualification, then I will do everything to be at the head of the middle group. Besides, I like the Austrian circuit, I've been competitive on it in the past years."
