Haas F1 team announced that this year, at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, its founder and owner Gene Haas will drive the VF-23, the 2023 model car.

In traditional hill climb competitions held on different days, drivers from the American team Esteban Ocon and Oliver Berman will participate, as well as Kazuki Nakajima, a former Formula 1 driver and now vice president of Toyota Gazoo Racing's European division, the Japanese automotive sport division.

Gene Haas's participation, whom Haas F1 in the press release refers to not only as an entrepreneur but also as a philanthropist, is timed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the team's debut in Formula 1, which just over a week ago marked its 200th Grand Prix.

Ayo Komatsu, head of Haas F1, will also be driving one of the team's cars, specifically the VF-24. Together with Gene Haas, they gained their first experience behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car during private tests at Silverstone some time ago.

At Haas F1’s garage in Goodwood’s paddock, the VF-16 will be displayed, the team's very first car, which in 2016 was driven by Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutiérrez in the World Championship. However, the team will also bring the VF-25, which will race in the British Grand Prix just a few days prior to the festival.

This year's festival program starts on Thursday, July 10, and ends on Sunday, July 13.
