Williams fan zone opened in the center of London
For the fourth year in a row, the Williams team has organized its fan zone in the heart of London ahead of the Silverstone race, much to the delight of British fans. Today, at 10 a.m. local time, it opened in Piccadilly Circus, with free admission and a diverse program. Starting from today, fans will have the opportunity to meet drivers one by one, including reserve driver Luke Browning today, followed tomorrow by James Vowles, Williams Racing director, accompanied by Jenson Button, and then Alex Albon. As always, various entertainment activities are available for the public, including simulators—not only racing simulators—competitions, and contests with special prizes for winners. Of course, visitors can also get a close look at the show car Williams, which closely resembles the real FW47.
By the way, another such car is being driven through the city center, so London residents and visitors to the British capital are aware— even if they are not Formula 1 fans—that one of the most significant sporting events of the year is taking place this weekend. The Williams fan zone will operate until 3 p.m. on Sunday, just in time for the start of the British Grand Prix—again, according to local time.
