Hulkenberg: Hard work pays off
In the recent stage in Austria, Sauber scored points for the first time since 2023 with two cars. The team is preparing new updates for the British Grand Prix and expects another successful performance at Silverstone.
Jonathan Whittley, team leader: "Silverstone holds a special place in motorsport fans' hearts. It's a special track for me, as it was here that I first saw Formula 1 cars.
Our team has made impressive progress in several previous races thanks to the hard work of everyone at the base and on the track. However, considering the incredibly close competition this year, we must stay focused and keep our feet on the ground."
Nico Hülkenberg: "Scoring points with two cars in Austria boosted the team's morale even more and showed what we can achieve when we manage to put all the components together. We are confidently moving forward, race by race, and the intense work and dedication of the team are starting to pay off, which is inspiring.
We can still improve, and I am confident that the team will continue to progress throughout the season. Right now, I’m looking forward to the Silverstone stage. It’s a fantastic classic track with thrilling corners and a unique atmosphere in the stands."
Gabriel Bortoleto: "It was incredible to earn my first points last week – we worked hard with the team for this result from the very beginning of the season. But this is just the beginning.
Now all attention is focused on the Silverstone stage. We aim to finish this double-header as successfully as we started it. To do so, we need to keep working and making progress. The team will bring new parts that I can't wait to try out. It's all about small steps forward that keep us in the fight in the middle of the pack."
