McDonald’s is promoting the film “F1. The Movie.”

As part of a promotional campaign for the release of "F1. The Movie," McDonald’s developed a special meal with a model car, offered in Latin American countries including Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. The company does not have the rights to use Formula 1 team colors, so the promotion features cars in the livery of the fictional APXGP team or with McDonald’s branding. The models were produced by Maisto at a 1:43 scale. The campaign has been so successful that the meals with the model car have already sold out in Mexico and Brazil, where new batches of the cars have been ordered. In 2024, McDonald’s signed a multi-year commercial agreement with Formula 1 for the Latin American region to leverage promotional opportunities during the Mexico City and São Paulo Grands Prix.
