Pierre Gasly: We know why we have problems

Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto posted 18th and 20th times in the second practice session of the British Grand Prix. Both Alpine drivers noted that the car lacks stability and grip on the track.

Pierre Gasly (18th): "A very difficult Friday for us. The whole team continues to work together on fixing weaknesses, and we need to find solutions that will lead to greater speed.

We have a clear understanding of why we are facing issues. Mainly, they are related to passing through fast corners and a lack of grip. The problems that arose today are not like those we've encountered this season, but we will figure it out and find solutions.

The team aims to perform better on Saturday, and I know we can do it by focusing on qualifying."

Franco Colapinto (20th): "Not the easiest day, so we need to find a way to extract more speed from the car. Overall, this Friday was better for me than previous sessions – the car looks decent, just lacking stability. In some parts of the circuit, it’s quite fast, but in others, it’s worse than the rest in terms of handling.

I am confident we will find a solution to improve the car in these conditions, but right now, we need to quickly gain more performance within this weekend."
