Ferrari's new rear suspension is not yet complete.

A 'filming day' at Mugello is scheduled for some time in July.

Contrary to expectations, Ferrari is not prepared to unveil its eagerly awaited new rear suspension design. Speculation had indicated that, after the successful new floor in Austria, the subsequent upgrade would be introduced promptly at Silverstone. Loic Serra, Ferrari’s newly appointed technical director, has reportedly spent months developing this innovation, having pinpointed it as a significant flaw in the 2025 car that was conceived last year by his predecessor, Enrico Cardile. However, specialized Italian media reports indicate that the team based in Maranello wants to guarantee that the major upgrade truly offers an improvement by testing it during a 'filming day' at Mugello in July.

“When you finish last year like we did, competing for victories and the constructors’ championship, we entered this year hoping to at least maintain our previous standing," Charles Leclerc lamented at Silverstone. "However, we are now rediscovering our path with the development. I know there are additional updates coming soon that will help us narrow the gap to McLaren and Red Bull," he added.

Regarding teammate Lewis Hamilton, he appears significantly more focused on Serra's efforts for the 2026 project. "I’m collaborating with Loic," he confirmed, "and the rest of the team to ensure that the next car incorporates some of my DNA," stated the seven-time world champion. "I want a car that can win next season."
