CEO acknowledges 'talking about' Vasseur's future with Ferrari.

      "Teams strengthen through challenges"

One of the leading executives at Ferrari is currently "discussing" the future with Formula 1 team principal Frederic Vasseur, who is facing uncertainty. There is ongoing speculation that Ferrari’s chairman John Elkann and CEO Benedetto Vigna are so dissatisfied with the team's progress that they might choose not to renew Vasseur’s three-year contract as it nears expiration. Up to this point, Vasseur's higher-ups have remained notably silent on the matter, though Vigna was present at the British GP.

"I enjoy coming here and witnessing the unity of the team," the CEO of the Maranello-based team shared with Sky Italia at Silverstone. "I cherish being among the people because they are the ones who truly make a difference."

Vigna does not shy away from acknowledging the various challenges Ferrari has faced in 2025. "Teams grow with difficulties," he emphasized. "Unity is strength, and we have that at Ferrari - it's palpable here."

Regarding the ongoing uncertainty about Vasseur’s position for 2026, however, Vigna admitted he does not have a definitive answer as of now. "He is the team principal," he stated. "It is July, and we are in discussions. We just had lunch together," Vigna smiled.
