Lewis Hamilton: I feel this car better and better

At Silverstone, only Lewis Hamilton scored points for Ferrari, finishing fourth...

Frederic Vasseur, team principal: "A chaotic race for everyone from start to finish, although it surely pleased the fans. Conditions changed so often that it was difficult to choose the right tires, and the frequent safety car deployments complicated assessing the potential developments.

After the race, it always seems that a more optimal strategy could have been used. Charles's decision to switch to slicks right at the start was bold. Things could have turned out differently if it had worked.

Clearly, the McLaren cars are much faster, but today we scored more points than Mercedes and Red Bull – which is positive, as is the fact that in qualifying we were competitive right up to the final. Our pace has improved significantly compared to the start of the year, and now we need to carry that speed into the second half of the season.

We will analyze the data collected this weekend and identify the reasons for the issues that arose. Right now, the most important thing is to take another step forward at Spa, put everything together, and have an impeccable weekend.

I want to congratulate Nico on his first podium. Considering his undeniable talent, he deserved it."

Lewis Hamilton (4th): "Today we didn't achieve the result we hoped for, but we continued to progress. I’m feeling better and better with the car.

Sometimes it seemed like third place was quite attainable, but credit to Nico, who drove an excellent race and finished on the podium for the first time.

Silverstone always provides spectacular entertainment for the fans, and the changing weather made the race even more interesting. Huge thanks to the amazing fans for their support this weekend; it’s always great to be home."

Charles Leclerc (14th): "A very tough race from start to finish. Now I realize that my decision to do a pit stop on the formation lap to switch to slicks was wrong, but I don’t think it changed the situation much – we just didn't have the needed pace today.

In recent races, I used quite radical setups, which worked on dry asphalt, but in variable conditions like today, they proved to be insufficiently effective. Clearly, there’s a lot of work ahead.

Congratulations to Nico on his podium, it’s a big achievement for him and his team."
