Pierre Gasly: We took risks, and this approach paid off.

Pierre Gasly finished sixth at Silverstone, and this is currently the best result for the Alpine F1 team this season. Meanwhile, Franco Colapinto, his Argentine teammate, was unable to participate in the race at all – his car failed him even before the start.

Pierre Gasly (6th): "This is a fantastic result for the entire team. I don't think we expected to finish in this position after the practice sessions, so I have to give credit to everyone for their efforts this weekend. Especially satisfying that it happened at Silverstone, our home race, which many team members followed from the grandstands at the circuit.

This will give everyone extra motivation, so I am very pleased. On the track, we had interesting battles with drivers we don't usually fight with — for example, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen. Overall, it was fun.

Today, it was important to accurately assess the level of risk — that's exactly how we tried to act. We took some risks, and this approach paid off because we made the right tactical decisions and performed excellent pit stops. I am already looking forward to tomorrow’s visit to Enstone, to the team’s base, to continue working hard, and I hope to see smiles on my colleagues’ faces there."

Franco Colapinto (did not start): "I was really looking forward to today’s race, so I was upset that I couldn't participate. It was unclear what problem arose with the car, and the team was investigating its causes during the race. I only know that I was unable to leave the pits.

We tried to do something, but in the end, it ended with a retirement. On days like this, you want to fight on the track because we saw that drivers starting from far back managed to move forward. Still, we gained valuable experience this weekend that will help us in future races.

I kept an eye on how events developed on the track, it was very interesting, and I want to congratulate Pierre and the entire team that scored points in their home race."

Flavio Briatore: "The team achieved a good result, and Pierre drove excellently under challenging conditions. It’s great that we scored points in our home race; this is good for the entire team and for boosting morale after several tough stages.

Considering how we started the weekend, it seemed impossible to score points, so the team deserves praise — they managed to turn the situation around. It’s a pity that Franco's race ended even before the start due to a transmission problem."

Today, we managed to surpass Haas, Racing Bulls, and Williams cars, while the others were far ahead, but we will continue to work hard to improve our positions.
