Ginikarlo Minardi: Silverstone provided us with an exciting race full of numerous mistakes by teams and drivers, in which Ferrari and Mercedes did not shine.

The absolute star of the weekend was the McLaren team, which was racing two seconds faster than the rest. This staggering and somewhat alarming dominance is based on excellent aerodynamic downforce. It's a pity for Oscar Piastri, who jeopardized his race with a small mistake behind the safety car – it cost him dearly. If Norris ultimately won the race, Oscar lost his race.

The applause is deserved by Sauber and Nico Hülkenberg. Starting 19th, the German finished only behind two McLarens, marking his first podium in his career. He conducted an impeccable race, making the most of others' mistakes.

Ferrari and Mercedes are disappointed. If not for a mistake, Hamilton could have easily competed for the podium. Things went even worse for Charles Leclerc – questionable strategy and several personal errors turned this race into one to forget quickly.

Kimi Antonelli also had bad luck; once again, the young Italian talent was out of the game.

After an outstanding pole position on Saturday, Max Verstappen finished fifth. A spin and settings for dry weather prevented him. Without sufficient downforce, Max and his car struggled in rainy conditions.

Unusual conditions often lead to unpredictable results. The race winners were expected, but many others shined behind them. Sauber and Alpine performed brilliantly, taking advantage of the opportunities presented. Aston Martin earned valuable points thanks to Stroll in seventh and Alonso in ninth.

The next round is the race in Spa at the end of July.
