Having scored points in five consecutive races, the Sauber team has risen to sixth place in the Constructors' Championship and hopes to continue their successful streak in Hungary.
Team principal Jonathan Whitley: "We are heading to Hungary with the hope of maintaining our pace. In recent races, from Barcelona to Spa, we focused on stability and efficient performance on the track, striving to get the most out of the new developments. The progress is encouraging and reflects the dedication of all staff at both the track and Hinwil base.
Hungary is known for unexpected results, and we must be prepared to capitalize on any opportunities."
Nico Hülkenberg: "The last two months have been promising — we competed in the midfield, scored points, even reached the podium, and now occupy sixth place in the Constructors' Championship. Although the start of the season was difficult, we improved each weekend thanks to the hard work of our team.
We are heading to Hungary for a good result. It’s another classic circuit where I’ve achieved success multiple times in the past. We need to use the momentum we've gained to go into the break with a positive mood."
Gabriel Bortoleto: "This weekend marks the end of the first half of my debut season. During this time, I’ve grown and learned a lot. The team supported me throughout these months, from the first tests. Their support, as well as the help from my teammate Nico, has played an important role.
With each weekend, I feel more confident; I’ve started achieving promising results, qualifying for the final sessions several times and scoring points.
The Budapest race is another opportunity to learn and improve, and I want to make the most of it to extend our successful streak."
