New agreement finalized in months as Audi reveals vision for drivers.

"Having Nico and Gabriel as our drivers is the best pairing I could have envisioned."

Audi’s main title sponsorship arrangement with Revolut was finalized in just four months, with team manager Jonathan Wheatley confirming that both parties were keen to wrap things up quickly in light of the upcoming 2026 Formula 1 entry.

"Both sides genuinely want to collaborate," Wheatley explained to Bild. "This is evident in the fact that we negotiated for only four months before finalizing the deal. Usually, negotiations can last up to a year."

The new partnership, announced earlier this week, represents Audi's first significant commercial move as it prepares to take ownership of Sauber’s entry next year. While it has not been confirmed that the current title sponsor, Stake, will be leaving, reports from Blick indicate that Revolut will take over as the primary sponsor, although the role Stake might play going forward remains uncertain.

Wheatley also sought to dispel rumors regarding potential high-profile signings, affirming his satisfaction with the existing 2025 driver lineup of Nico Hulkenberg and newcomer Gabriel Bortoleto.

"With Nico and Gabriel, we have the best driver duo I can imagine," he stated.

Antoine Le Nel, Revolut’s global marketing director, shared with Bild that the brand views Audi as a key pathway into the German market. "We’re not particularly strong in the German market yet. We aim to expand there. Audi is a logical partner for us."

The agreement places Audi alongside other F1 teams supported by significant financial brands, such as Santander (Williams), UBS (Mercedes), UniCredit (Ferrari), MoneyGram (Haas), and CashApp (Racing Bulls).

As noted by Blick, even teams like Sauber will be valued at no less than 1 billion under the new F1 regulations, highlighting the importance of major commercial agreements at this stage in the sport's development.
