Bernie Ecclestone: Horner is unlikely to return to Formula 1
Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone arrived at the Hungaroring on race day and spoke on Sky Sport F1 about Christian Horner's departure from Red Bull last month…
Bernie Ecclestone: "I think Christian is still in mild shock from these events, but he will gradually get over it and see that there are other things in the world to do. I made it clear to my friends there [at Red Bull] that they treated Christian too harshly. But they had no choice. They made a decision and carried it out. I don't think Horner will return to Formula 1. Probably he doesn't want to. In fact, he wanted to acquire a share of Red Bull, to become a co-owner of the team. If he can't find anyone to invest in such a share purchase, I can't imagine him coming back. Rumors about us buying shares in Alpine with Horner? It's more likely Lewis will win his eighth title than that happening. No, Lewis has done a fantastic job. He remains incredibly talented. But he should step back a little. It would be terrible if something happens to him now."
