Video: 16-car pileup in NASCAR
Yesterday at the Watkins Glen race track in the United States another round of the NASCAR Xfinity Series took place, which is the second-tier NASCAR stock car racing series after the Sprint Cup Series. During the race there was a multi-car pileup involving 16 cars. Fortunately, none of those involved were injured, but the cars sustained serious damage. However, the day was not entirely free of injuries: race winner Connor Zilish, after the finish, while trying to climb onto the roof of his car to celebrate, caught his foot on the safety net and fell onto the asphalt, breaking his collarbone.
