Logan Sargeant will continue his career in sports car racing.

Logan Sargeant's name hasn't been in the news for quite some time. The last time he was mentioned was in connection with the factory Genesis/Hyundai project in the WEC, but something went wrong, and Sargeant hasn't been heard from since last year.

But yesterday the British company Oliver Gavin Motorsport Management (OGMM) announced that the former Williams driver had become its new client: at the next stage of his career the 24-year-old American will compete in sports car racing. Which category, which series and when exactly has not yet been announced.

One of the founders of the company that bears his name is the well-known British driver Oliver Gavin, who once raced for the factory Corvette Racing team in endurance events. He won titles in the American Le Mans series, scored four class wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTS and GT1, and knows well the rules that govern the world of motorsport.

It is also worth mentioning that in the late 1990s Gavin spent some time driving the safety car in Formula 1.

On OGMM's social media pages a photo of Logan Sargeant appeared along with this comment: "We have a new contract! We are pleased to welcome Logan Sargeant to the OGMM team. He has a decent record in single-seaters, and he is only 24. Logan already has endurance racing experience: in 2021 he took part in the European Le Mans Series as well as the Michelin Le Mans Cup, and in his debut LMP2 race he won pole."

Sargeant is not the only former Formula 1 driver to have recently changed managers: Sergio Pérez has made the same move and is being tipped to return to the world championship as part of the new Cadillac F1 team.
