In Zandvoort they do not regret turning down the Grand Prix.

In December it was announced that the Dutch Grand Prix will be held for the last time in 2026. In an interview with Racingnews365, Dutch Grand Prix director Robert van Overdeijk spoke about the upcoming round and plans for the future…

Robert van Overdeijk: "I can't say that I'm waiting for this Grand Prix with any particular feelings, but next year, when it really is our last race, the feelings will surely be different.

I think the final round will evoke roughly the same emotions as the first, but with the opposite sign. We all know how huge an event this is for the Netherlands, but Formula 1 will move on, switching to other countries and continents. Everyone feels that next year will be special. After that, Formula 1 will not return to the Netherlands for many years. Or maybe never.

At first Formula 1 were disappointed that we made this decision, but they understood the reasons. They know better than anyone that we, along with Silverstone, are two unique rounds that don't receive a penny from them. They know that everything is paid for by three small companies – the circuit, TIG Sports and SportVibes. We put on this grand event at our own risk. We still work very well together and want to make the last two rounds fantastic.

We do not regret the decision. All doubts are behind us. There were different opinions, but we made a conscious choice and now we're only looking ahead."
