Ocon: The atmosphere at Haas is healthier than at Alpine.

      Esteban Ocon spent five seasons at Alpine, where he took his first and, to date, only victory. In 2025 the French driver is racing for Haas, and after fourteen races he made a striking comparison between the two teams, not in favour of the Enstone outfit.

      "Compared with my previous experience, there's a healthier atmosphere at Haas," Esteban Ocon said. "No one hides anything here. If we make a mistake, we discuss it straight away and hope it won't happen again. The team talks about problems immediately after the race. That's the right approach. If you don't discuss problems, as it was at the team I drove for before, those problems will repeat. And that's the main issue. Our team is incredibly motivated. It may sound crazy, but in the past I've seen people who had absolutely no motivation, even though they worked in the Formula 1 paddock! That's the worst situation imaginable. As a driver, I put my whole heart into the job, striving to make everything perfect. And it was hard when I first arrived at the track and saw someone already checking their schedule for Monday. I've seen that attitude to work before. I'm not saying everything is perfect now. Of course there are areas where we need to improve. But we have a solid base to work from, and we're moving forward. I'm pleased with how things are going. We're called the smallest team in Formula 1, and that's true, but our approach to the job is at the level of the leaders."
