Lando Norris: I don't think easy victories await us.

Lando Norris has won three of the last four races, cutting the gap to Oscar Piastri to nine points. According to the British McLaren driver, he is in a good frame of mind going into the final part of the season, and he is not inclined to worry about mistakes he made earlier.

Lando Norris: "I'm in a good frame of mind, but I've been like that before. Of course, since the start of the year I've had to go through some difficult periods; there were tough moments — partly my fault, and in some cases the team could have done better. But we've managed to improve, and I'm glad that now things are going the way I want them to, although there are always aspects where further improvements can be made.

So I'm in a good mood, and I'm ready for the fact that the second half of the season won't be easy either. Of course, it's time to think about winning the championship, but we still do our work focusing on each race individually. Naturally, we all want to win, we want to score as many points as possible, because that will make life somewhat easier, but there are still many battles ahead.

Everyone knows there's an interesting rivalry between me and my teammate, and that's what I most look forward to. Of course, our team is performing very confidently this year, but I think our rivals have recently caught up to us. Speaking about the upcoming race, I don't expect to be able to win by more than 20 seconds like last year, although I'd happily repeat that success.

But I don't think we're in for races that we can win easily. Nevertheless, we're always aiming for success, to deliver more 1–2 finishes for McLaren — that's the task we set ourselves every weekend. We're always set to fight, but if we do manage to gain a significant advantage over our rivals, that's just a bonus.

Could I have acted more correctly at some previous races this season and made better decisions in some cases? I think I could... If I think back to Canada, if I had the chance to do that race again, I would simply be smarter and wouldn't have taken such big risks. Could we have avoided losing points at that round? Yes.

But I wouldn't say it's typical for me to dwell on such moments. Would I like things to have gone better? Yes. On the other hand, I really don't regret making those decisions back then, because I made them myself. That's life, that's how things turn out.

Sometimes everything goes right and you're lucky, sometimes it's the opposite and you make clearly not the best decisions. But it's precisely in those times that you really learn, and that will help you in the future."
