Oscar Piastri: "I can't say that during the practice sessions we ran into any serious problems, but in qualifying we needed to up our game a bit, and I managed to do that. From session to session I was gradually able to improve, and I'm proud that yesterday I was able to secure pole.
Today we face a long race, 72 laps in length, so we still have work to do, but I'm glad I was able to find some extra pace yesterday when it really mattered.
I don't yet know how things will play out today or what the fight with my teammate will be like, but since I'm starting from the most favorable position I think holding the lead won't be too difficult. I'll try to get the best possible start, and if the track ahead of me is clear, that will be very handy."
