Hamilton will lose five places on the grid at the Italian Grand Prix.
The stewards of the Dutch Grand Prix reviewed Lewis Hamilton's actions before the race start, when on his way to the grid he did not sufficiently reduce speed in a double yellow flag zone, and when entering the pit lane he was travelling at a "significantly reduced speed." By his actions the Ferrari driver breached several articles of the Sporting Regulations and the race director's instructions. For this Lewis Hamilton received a penalty of a five-place grid drop at the next race — the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. In addition, he was handed two penalty points. These are Lewis Hamilton's first penalty points in a 12-month period. The stewards also reviewed the actions of Charles Leclerc and George Russell in their battle with each other and Gabriel Bortoleto's piloting of a car in an "unsafe condition." In both cases the stewards found no breaches and left both incidents without consequence.
