Lewis Hamilton will start tenth at Monza because of a penalty, but hopes to make up ground…
Lewis Hamilton: "Racing for Ferrari at Monza for the first time is an absolutely incredible experience, and I want to remember as much as possible everything that happens over these days. I've never seen fans support one team so passionately. I suppose I felt the crowd's wonderful support in England too, but the way the tifosi support Ferrari is like nothing else.
The results are very close, but I'm in a fighting mood and I'll try to make my way forward. Speaking of tactics, the pit lane at this circuit is very long, so everyone will try to stick to a single pit stop, because a two-stop strategy is associated with large time losses.
However, it's hard to say which tactic is preferable, but I reckon it would make sense to try to extend the first stint as much as possible, which requires patience.
Let's see if I can get back at least to the position I qualified in. Ultimately I'd like to move forward also to help Charles and the team, because we want to hold on to second place in the Constructors' Championship. That's the goal I've set myself."
