McLaren drivers are aiming for victory in Baku

Last year Oscar Piastri won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Australian McLaren driver will try to repeat that success in the upcoming weekend, but his teammate Lando Norris is also aiming for a strong result. Moreover, McLaren could secure the Constructors' Championship in Baku.

Lando Norris: "I'm looking forward to getting back on track in Baku. Street circuits bring completely different challenges, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel and test myself. I've been working a lot at the Woking base to prepare as best as possible for another win."

Oscar Piastri: "I have only warm memories of last year's race in Baku. I consider it one of the best races of my life, and it's always nice to return to a track where I achieved strong results. My only goal this weekend is to achieve the same result as last year. I'm leading the drivers' standings and I'm very pleased with my driving."

Andrea Stella, team principal: "Before heading to Azerbaijan we prepared for a difficult and unpredictable city race. Baku is a technically demanding track that requires drivers to be extremely precise. The Baku round is special for us, because last year we took the lead in the Constructors' Championship here and Oscar delivered a brilliant victory. The fight with many teams is extremely intense, but we remain focused on our own tasks and feel prepared for the upcoming weekend."
