Wolff: We expect to be fighting at the front in Baku.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff believes the team can fight at the front at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Wolff is also aiming for second place in the Constructors' Championship by the end of the season, but for that the results need to be better than at the last round in Monza.

Toto Wolff: "The European part of the season is over, and this weekend the final third of the championship begins. The run to the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi will be intense, as three teams are fighting for second place in the Constructors' Championship.

In Monza we were beaten and we know that in the remaining eight races we must perform better than we did in Italy if we want to overtake our rivals.

The sequence of away races starts with two street circuits. The first will take place in Azerbaijan, and then two weeks later in Singapore. Baku is a challenging circuit, which includes fast straights, 90-degree turns and a twisty section around the fortress – a good test for both the car and the driver.

The battle is very tight, so any small detail will make a big difference. If we perform at full strength, then we can expect to fight at the front this weekend."
