Helmut Marko: Our race strategy has already been ruined.

Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko is pleased with the results of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix qualifying, in which all four Red Bull drivers advanced to the final. The 82-year-old Austrian admitted, however, that he had to get quite nervous during the session.

"There were too many interruptions in qualifying, yellow and red flags," Helmut Marko told German Sky Sport. "Then it started to drizzle, then not a drop at all. I had to get nervous during qualifying.

Our race strategy is already ruined, because we had to use more tires than planned. The constant stops meant that we had to change tires again and again.

We already proved on Friday that we can show the same pace over a long run of laps as the leaders. Besides, the run from the start to the first corner is short here, so we're not worried that Max will lose the leading position.

All four of our drivers coped excellently in the rather difficult conditions. This is the second time this season that all our cars made it into the top ten in qualifying."

Commenting on possible rain in the race, Marko said: "It won't be fun if it rains heavily. Moreover, it could be too dangerous. If we get a good start we'll be in a winning position, but anything can happen in the rain."
