Stella: Michael Schumacher was wrong too.

      McLaren team principal Andrea Stella believes one should not draw hasty conclusions from Oscar Piastri's mistakes in Baku — he has worked with Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen and Fernando Alonso and knows that even the best drivers are human.

      Andrea Stella: "I have worked with drivers who have won numerous titles, and in every season, even the most dominant, even when I worked with Michael Schumacher, we had incidents like Oscar's in Baku. Schumacher made mistakes too. But that experience teaches you a lot. You understand that if for some reason you misjudge the grip, you'll end up in an accident.

      It was an isolated incident for, perhaps, the most reliable driver this season. The only weekend when things didn't go according to plan ended in defeat. But that is no cause for concern; this has happened to all champions, even the very best. I have no doubt that Oscar will use this experience, and the mistake will not be repeated at the next round."
