Pietro Fittipaldi has joined the Cadillac team, which is preparing to make its Formula 1 debut in 2026. The Brazilian driver signed a contract as a simulator test driver and has already been helping Cadillac prepare for the debut for several months. However, Pietro only announced the contract officially today.
Pietro Fittipaldi: "I am very proud that I can finally announce that I have joined the Cadillac Formula 1 team! Over the past few months we have been working together on the development of the 2026 car, carrying out simulator tests and simulating a full race weekend.
It is an honor for me to be part of such a legendary brand as Cadillac."
Pietro Fittipaldi raced in two Formula 1 events for Haas at the end of 2020, replacing the injured Romain Grosjean. In 2022 the Brazilian took part in two Friday practice sessions, and in the following years he was listed as Haas's reserve driver.
