Leo Turini: This can't continue any longer.

Ferrari's failures this season are becoming a pattern, and against the backdrop of other teams' successes they upset the Scuderia's fans all the more. After the Singapore Grand Prix their shared view was expressed by Leo Turrini, a veteran of Italian motorsport journalism…

To understand the mindset of the average Ferrari fan, I suggest taking a short trip into the recent past.

Let's start with the statistics. After the Dutch round of the season Ferrari had scored 40 points, Mercedes 89, Red Bull 96, McLaren 91. Need any more examples?

Two years ago, in 2023, Red Bull Racing dominated the season, yet the Scuderia still managed to seize the only chance fate offered. We remember what happened that night in Singapore on the floodlit circuit, even if it has an objectively absurd layout.

That race was won by Carlos Sainz, and it was Ferrari's first success since Frédéric Vasseur took charge of the racing department in Maranello.

Two years have passed since then. And we see Lewis Hamilton struggling to the finish of an unremarkable race because of brake trouble, while Charles Leclerc tried to fight and do something to climb out of the black hole of crisis from which there seems to be no escape.

It should be added that since it became clear that the Scuderia would again fail to win the championship in 2025, we've been told that the goal nonetheless remains second place in the constructors' standings.

And lo and behold: in Singapore not only did McLaren celebrate victory in the Constructors' Championship, but Mercedes also overtook the poor prancing stallion.

George Russell drove very confidently, and our Harry Potter, aka Kimi Antonelli, continues to gain experience. Max Verstappen was ready to capitalise on the internal squabbles between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri and did not disappoint either.

In any case, we should congratulate Andrea Stella on another Constructors' Championship, the tenth for McLaren, and wish him success in managing the next inevitable conflicts between Lando and Oscar.

One must admit that a team like Ferrari is not capable of upholding its proud traditions. And worst of all: several weeks have passed since it was confirmed that Vasseur would remain at the helm of the Scuderia, yet there is no sense at all that the current state of affairs can change, or that the team can regain our trust through its performances.

Hamilton and Leclerc do not hide their disappointment, and that's a very bad sign. There's nothing more to add to that.

In short, Ferrari must not allow itself to accept what is happening. Partly because the situation is paradoxical: Formula 1 has never been so globally popular, yet the world's most famous brand is slowly and sadly slipping further back. This cannot continue.
