Valtteri Bottas: We'll work very well with Pérez.

      In 2026 Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will become teammates at Cadillac. The Finnish driver spoke about what he expects from working with Perez, given that they were closest rivals when they raced for Mercedes and Red Bull Racing.

      Valtteri Bottas: “I think Sergio, like me, is excited about the upcoming partnership. This year has not been the same for him as it was for me. I suppose Sergio definitely traveled less than I did. He spent time with his family, which is good because it’s a kind of reset. And now he’s ready to come back.

      I think we’ll work well together and make a good team. He and I will put the team’s interests first, because that’s what the team needs in the coming years.

      Sergio has always performed well and has been courteous to me. In turn, I’ve always treated him with respect. He’s a great driver. Apparently he’s easy to work with, as I am, so everything should be fine.

      The main thing for us is to work together and lead the team forward, not waste time fighting each other unnecessarily. That should be the priority, and we both understand that. I hope we can compete on equal terms, because that helps us improve and move forward. That will be great.”
