Nico Hülkenberg: We have a great week ahead.
Before the United States Grand Prix, the Sauber team sits eighth in the Constructors' Championship and hopes to reduce the gap to Aston Martin…
Jonathan Wheatley, team principal: "We head to Austin knowing that we will still have opportunities in the final part of the season. After a tough weekend in Singapore, the team is fully focused on delivering stronger results.
The round in Austin could be a serious test because of the uneven surface and strong winds. Attention to detail and precise execution of the plan will be key. A weekend with a Saturday sprint gives an additional chance to test ourselves, and we will make the most of every opportunity to achieve more."
Nico Hülkenberg: "The Austin round remains one of the highlights of the calendar; it is one of my favourite events. The atmosphere, the fans, the track — everything about Austin is great, and we have a fantastic week ahead.
The setback in Singapore is behind us, and this weekend we will try to make the most of the car's potential. The Saturday sprint format gives us less time to prepare, but everyone is in the same situation. We will use every lap to be well prepared for the sprint and for Sunday's race."
Gabriel Bortoleto: "I am looking forward to the race in Austin. I have heard only good things about this track. After the Singapore round we did a lot of work; I prepared for the upcoming race on the simulator and I am eager to get out on track.
It is important to make the most of the single practice session to get used to the circuit and to set up the car. I am confident that if we do everything correctly, we can deliver a respectable result."
