Zak Brown: Horner has been spoiled by fame and money
In an interview with The Telegraph, McLaren Racing boss Zak Brown once again spoke about his relationship with former Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner...
Zak Brown: "I've known Christian for more than thirty years. We used to get on well. He's achieved amazing results. I respect his achievements, but over the years he's changed. The recognition after the Drive to Survive series, the money, the fame — all of that became too much for him.
In sport he hasn't always played fair. Back when I raced there were drivers who pushed to the limit, forcing rivals onto two wheels off the track. That's fine. But some drivers push you onto all four wheels. And that's not okay. I'm the kind of person who likes to race wheel-to-wheel, but Christian prefers to knock you onto all four wheels.
Once he made accusations against our team. I can't imagine he really believed them. He did it simply to disrupt us. In our sport everyone understands that such accusations aren't connected to any technical violations."
