Aston Martin is "clearly" in search of drivers.

Ralf Schumacher has once again expressed his criticism of Lance Stroll, suggesting that Aston Martin will eventually need a completely new driver lineup. Speaking on Sky Deutschland, Schumacher noted that Aston Martin is "clearly searching for drivers," highlighting Stroll’s considerable gap in qualifying times compared to Fernando Alonso.

"The qualifying performance is negligible compared to Alonso’s, so what more can be said?" he remarked. "I understand Aston Martin is quite sensitive regarding this, but the reality is - it’s catastrophic."

Schumacher, who was previously restricted from interviewing Aston Martin personnel after making similar remarks, clarified that he wasn’t labeling Stroll as entirely uncompetitive. "In races, he can contribute at times," Schumacher acknowledged. "However, when you are consistently outpaced by Alonso – a remarkable talent even nearing the end of his career – one must be realistic."

Nonetheless, Schumacher pointed out that Stroll isn’t the primary issue for the team. "The car is the largest problem," he stated. "Stroll can still be a decent number two, though that heavily ties into paternal pride. It’s his (Lawrence Stroll’s) investment, his team, so he has the final say."

"However, from an exterior viewpoint, it might be necessary to bring in two new drivers."

Recently, Schumacher suggested the potential for a Charles Leclerc-Oscar Piastri partnership at Aston Martin, while also alluding to Max Verstappen's loose connection to a future with a Newey-designed car. Regarding billionaire team owner Lawrence Stroll, Schumacher bluntly commented: "He should remove his rose-colored glasses and confront the reality."
