      "Stroll puede seguir siendo un muy buen número dos, pero..."

      Ralf Schumacher ha renovado sus críticas a Lance Stroll, al tiempo que sugiere que Aston Martin eventualmente necesitará una alineación de pilotos completamente nueva. Hablando en Sky Deutschland, Schumacher dijo que Aston Martin "obviamente está buscando pilotos", señalando el déficit de Stroll en clasificación frente a Fernando Alonso.

      "La actuación en clasificación es cero contra infinito, ¿qué más se puede decir?", dijo. "Sé que Aston Martin es muy sensible respecto a esto, pero es simple: es desastroso."

      Schumacher, vetado de entrevistar a figuras de Aston Martin a principios de este año tras críticas similares, subrayó que no estaba calificando a Stroll como completamente poco competitivo. "En la carrera, puede dejar su huella de vez en cuando", admitió Schumacher. "Pero cuando eres consistentemente más lento que Alonso —un talento excepcional, pero al final de su carrera— también hay que ser realista."

      En cuanto al multimillonario propietario del equipo, Lawrence Stroll, Schumacher dijo sin rodeos: "Debería quitarse las gafas color de rosa y enfrentarse a la realidad."
