Oscar Piastri is pleased with McLaren's approach.

      At McLaren they try to support both drivers equally in the fight for the title, which often leads to team orders being used at certain moments in a race. Oscar Piastri recently admitted that some orders frustrated him, but overall he is happy with how the team has handled things.

      Oscar Piastri: “This year we've had difficult moments and difficult conversations. It's part of the game. In a title fight every little thing matters. On your way you encounter difficulties and questions that need to be resolved together, as a team.

      I'm sure there's not a single driver on the starting grid who would be completely satisfied with every decision made – whether it's a decision by their team, a decision by the stewards or the actions of rivals. It's all part of the bigger picture.

      Over the course of the season we've had some tough conversations; some issues needed to be worked through and addressed, but I'm very pleased with how the team handled that.”
